LoveLocalFest is a celebration of the spirit of Cape Cod, our locals! This community event has been put together every year in Hyannis since 2013. Its mission is to uplift and highlight all the local vendors, talent, artisans, and more! Stroll through and find fun festivities to do with the family and browse the many handcrafted wares, unique trinkets, and locally sourced goods. You can find anything from food to jewelry as we celebrate the community. When you have exhausted your wallet, watch the live and local musical artists, and don't forget to bring your furry friend too! The festival is dog-friendly just be sure they are leashed and are open to making new human and doggy friends! Celebrate unity on the last Sunday in July and September! They also gather one more time for the first weekend in December! Foodies and craft beer enthusiasts, grab a plate and prepare yourselves for the annualCapeCodFoodTruck and CraftBeerFestival! This celebration of culinary delights and craft brews brings together a diverse array of gourmet treats. With many different vendors and breweries that participate in this day of fun, they offer a wide range of different pallets. From savory barbeques to gourmet burgers to tantalizing tacos and decadent desserts, even the pickiest of eaters have a choice. And for those of age, grab yourself one of the many locally brewed beers and explore the rich flavors that our locals have to offer. Find your next favorite brand here! Make sure you have free time on July 28th between 12 pm and 5 pm so you don't miss out on this once-a-year event! Last on our list, this event takes us over to one of our island communities, Martha's Vineyard.TheGrand IlluminationNight in Oak Bluffs happens every year, drawing in thousands of locals and visitors to the already famous "gingerbread cottages". It has been a tradition for the islanders for over 150 years. Every third Wednesday in August, the cottages are decorated by their owners with Chinese and Japanese-style paper lanterns and other decorations creating an almost fairytale-like scene right out of a storybook. With live music and a community sing-along at the beginning of the festival, this is truly a great event that the whole family can enjoy! These are only but a few festivals and events that take place here on Cape Cod. With its long and rich history, you will find that there is always something going on on Cape Cod. Exploring the cape on your own can sometimes lead to finding hidden gems and events that turn into new traditions too.
