Mashpee Commons, located at the in- tersection of Routes 151 and 28, is one of the Cape's premier shopping destinations. Built in the charming style of a New England town center it features shopping, dining and enter- tainment. On September 7th the 19th Annual Seaside LeMans returns to the Commons. The four-hour race features European style Formula One race carts driven around a quarter mile track. The family friendly event includes free viewing from trackside or the infield. Over the course of its 18-year history the event has raised more than $6.5 million to benefit non-profit organizations on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. On rainy days, families will enjoy the Cape Cod Children's Museum at 577 Great Neck Road South. With its hands-on activities including arts and crafts, sing-alongs and special seasonal events, there's fun for the whole family all day long. Cof- fee lovers are invited to check out the Cape Cod Coffee roasting facility located at 348 Main Street in Mashpee. Guests can refuel with a freshly brewed cup of Joe, and even check out how Cape Cod Coffee is made. FALMOUTH Vacationers' last stop within the Upper Cape region is the town of Falmouth, home of some of the most beautiful coast lines on the Cape, says Michael Kasparian, President and CEO of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. Having lived in town for over 14 years, Kasparian says Falmouth is a treasure trove of outdoor activi- ties. "It's all about the outdoors; there's so much to do," he says. "The town has been methodi- cal about people's access from the coastline to the woods." Fifty percent of Falmouth is coastline – about 78 miles worth, which gives visitors ac- cess to town beaches, hiking trails and public parks.
